Efficient dewatering of high-moisture pulps and fibrous materials

Dewatering by means of mechanical pressing costs only about 10% of thermal drying. Efficient pressing of wet materials prior to drying therefore results in reduced costs and improved economy.

Applications

The Stord International twin screw press har proved its efficiency for a variety of wet fibrous materials and pulp; such as sugar beet pulp, sugar beet trash, chicory pulp, citrus pulp, starch residues, cotton seed residues, alginates, pectin, lucerne and other green leaf plants, fruit and fruit residues, potato starch by-products, pulp and paper sludge, soya residues and more.

Material quality

The press can be supplied either in mild steel, partly in stainless steel, or with all parts in contact with the wet material and liquid in stainless steel. In case of severe working conditions, acid resistant materials can be used. Mild steel parts are coated with two component epoxy paints.
